During the Easter services there have been homilies that have brought back the need to re-focus on a point in time. For me it was a special time when there was an occurence in my life that brought the truth of the Gospel into focus. A time that made it come alive.
It's been several days since Good Friday and a better understanding of what has gone on. Is it possible to have a spiritual tug of war. That came about in confession. But I also wonder if it was a battle with evil whenever there is a closeness. The tug of war when the coming of Easter was getting closer. I do know that at communion the experience hasn't gone but has grown. So how is that possible?
As I sat and waited today in line for my monthly confession, I began to continue reading Invitation to Solitude and Silence, a God send, because I read something that explained something about varying degrees of tired, and I saw a part where I was. I began to see where I was doing way too much and was slowly shutting off my silence. I let the world invade what I should have protected. The deep moments of communion where we listen to the silence. How far have I gone, not too far thankfully. God continually loves us even when we fall flat on our faces. He picks us up, dusts us off and asks that we keep trying to bring conversion to the world and to our own hearts.

2 Words of Wisdom:
It is indeed a powerful experience Marie. The veneration of the Holy Cross on Good Friday gives us courage that our Lord is triumphant over sin and death. It is extremely moving to see the Cross being venerated since it is a sign of our redemption. Thanks for sharing your experience.. God bless you and your family..
Thank you Brother Gio for your words of strength and hope and your prayers. What a gift we have all been given when Jesus gave up so much to save us all. God bless you!!
