Nights

Prayer is a beautiful experience when it is done in the company of others. Our prayer Cenacle is mainly prayers for vocations along with prayers for those who are sick and request intercession on their behalf. I took on a project for the prayer Cenacle to put together a group of prayers that would be handy, rather than a multitude of papers that would distract. The fun begins when grouping the prayers in a way that they are used during the course of our evening. And should the Holy Spirit prompt other prayers they will also be in there as well. We were running out of booklets that are no longer made to pass out for the many that have been coming. Monday we had 16 with five missing, so that was a very good night as well.

Tonight was Scripture sharing night and I am always amazed when they are read, how they always seem to read differently. Does that mean that at times in our life certain things said in Scripture can stand out and at other times not stand out at all. But it's how it's embraced by those who truly reflect on it and speak eloquently of what it meant to them. I love those moments because I learn something new as well. One thing different in this setting is the Mass is not said as part of the process of hearing God's Word. On Sundays those are the times that I love hearing the Gospel and the reflection given after. I've somehow always come away with a new knowledge of God's grace. The last one had to do with God always calling, and I thought how wonderful that was.

I'm going to look forward to getting to know these people and learning about Scripture sharing and growing ever deeper in faith. What is truly wonderful is seeing God's Word with new eyes and ears and falling more in love with Him as if I were seeing Him again for the first time. More like seeing a new dimension to his body the Church. But it's also seeing myself in a different light as well that brings that love ever more to the surface. Sacred Heart of Jesus has a way of touching my life in a profound way.

Correction Sunday afternoon I also relayed to Betty Ann that the door opening during the novena for her ministry was also an answer to her about the door opening up for her ministry. So with the second opening it was also for me and the Order I am contemplating on. Not necessarily the door is open for me, but that following the Sacred Heart of Jesus is one way of looking at it as well. I rather like the idea that the door opening was meant for others and not necessarily for any other reason.
