Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate this day and to those who don't. We all something to be thankful for. At least I know I do and the first one I am thankful for is God's presence in my life. I am thankful for God and His love. I wouldn't have it any other way. He is who has made me who I am, no one else. I may be born of two people but it was in God's plan for me to be born of that family and that I am thankful for. For two loving parents who nurtured me as I grew and nurtured my faith.

I have so very much to be thankful for that the list alone would be very long. To be alive and in love with God is the greatest thankful part of my life. I know at times I repeat myself, but don't we all do that when we talk of those we love. We sing their praises to those closest to us. It's interesting when I listen to others talk about their relationships, it's true how they sing praises of their husbands, wives, children, it's amazing. It's the small handful that I hear them say thank God for any detail or misgiving or even for the good that comes to them. Not many will verbally say anything about God and the abundance he gives us even though they believe in Him.

So today I offer God my thankful praises for life lived in Him, for the pain and sickness in my body in order for me to understand the suffering of His Son, for all the calamities that mar the way yet keep my faith strong. For the not so good days when hurting seems more so, I thank you from the depths of my heart for your loving touch to remind me of the cross I bear. I am thankful for the people in my life and the many who I come across, through them I receive your love and see the image of your face in them. I am thankful that I am where I am at this moment in time. That you are leading me to my home. Something I have asked of you. I know I will never be disappointed, because you don't disappoint you deliver. We are the ones that cause disappointment. I hope and pray that we all come to be thankful and find our way back home to you dear Father. What a homecoming that would be.

I dont think anyone can say, 'I am thankful to God or I LOVE God' too many times.

Just imagine the JOY that wings our little love to the Triune Spirit who fills our hearts with even MORE Love.

Peace & JOY to you MC:)HAPPY THANKSGIVING!:)
