Home

My dad's home from the hospital, thank God that they averted through intervention a heart attack. Even prayer is just so very powerful when said in faith also is quite an intervention too. Now his diet needs to be readjusted, like no more french fries, cookies, ice cream all the goodies that he likes. We could all use that too, an adjustment to diet, more vegetables. LOL, that's why I planted a garden for a better variety of vegetables. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't care about my family.

God is raining on the garden lately and I now have the fruits of one vegetable sprouting, radishes. So far the carrots and beets haven't done the same. The rest is looking good except for a wilted plant or two that were that way before planting. Hopefully I'll get the rest planted this weekend.

I did have a chance to read while waiting one day the book I failed to finish, Abandonment to Divine Providence. I had started this one and with reading for classes I had stopped for awhile from finishing it. What an eye opener for sure. I saw the words that conveyed so much understanding. Now I know! Do I really know completely, not really but it gave me more insight into the workings of God. I didn't even know he worked in such ways with specific souls. Well anyway that was a discovery.

I haven't had much time on here with work and then doing a lot of other stuff, I found I was not able to write as much as I would like. So much has been going on and trying to do the impossible all at once is to put it mildly, biting off more than I can chew at times. But as long as I keep up the spiritual side and keep the conversation with God first and foremost then all will come out as God planned in my life. He gets us through some of the most troubling of times and gets us through it without too much trouble. It's never easy but with God it seems that things just aren't as bad.

Each day I look outside and take a moment to pause and reflect on God's graces I see how green the woods are looking. It went from bare to green everywhere, it's just awesome the growth and the beauty of spring. When flowers are the first to the opening of the leaves and the new growth of grass and underbrush in the woods. It's hard not to fail to notice this and thank God for his creation. How beautiful he made this world we live in and the people we come across each day. He has truly blessed us.

Glad your Dad's ok MC. Yes, a healthy diet does wonders for our bodies.
Maybe your dad can try one of the dietetic ice creams, or real italian gelato (but only fruit flavors for both; they have fewer calories). There must be a gelato store around your area, they seem to be sprouting up here and there in the states.

FMN I never heard of gelato, I will have to look for it. Thank you for letting me know about it. My dad will of course like it, no doubt about it. He's definitely a sweet eater.
