Psalm 130

No matter how hard I try to do God's will there is always room for improvement not just on the spiritual level but on the human level too.

Today I get to spend the afternoon in community with the fellow members of our fraternity in Christ. Studying and praying together is always a pleasure. I look forward to being with them each month.

I have read a Psalm and found my self reflecting on how penitential it is.

Psalm 130

Out of the depths I call to you, LORD;
Lord, hear my cry! May your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.
If you, LORD, mark our sins, Lord, who can stand?
But with you is forgiveness and so you are revered.
I wait with longing for the LORD, my soul waits for his word.
My soul looks for the Lord more than sentinels for daybreak. More than sentinels for daybreak,
let Israel look for the LORD, For with the LORD is kindness, with him is full redemption,
And God will redeem Israel from all their sins.

Out of the depths of my heart I give him my love and seek his everlasting mercy upon my soul for any wrongs I have done.
