Possible

I think I am beginning to understand a bit more. I dreamt I was shopping, but when I arrived at the check-out and each item rung up. It wasn't until the end when I saw the total. So from there in shock of the amount, I proceeded to remove items with the thought, I don't need shoes, I don't need a coat, I don't need this, I don't need that and on it went until finally what was left was what I did need. Which I don't recall what items they were.

But for me it was a dream with a lesson. I do have needs and wants, but finding which and what are what is really important. How did I conclude this just from a dream upon waking. Because I have a few debts that have to be paid and those are more important than my needs and wants at the moment. Then I always recall how Jesus sacrificed for us and if he can do so and give us examples of faith to live by then no obstacle is that great to overcome. With him walking alongside then I too can conquer the impossible.

I saw in my dream my reality, how to distinguish the needs and wants. And with today's reading, everything is possible with faith.

2 Words of Wisdom:

I like what Thoreau said in Walden: "Our life is frittered away in detail....simplify, simplify, simplify"
For me that pertains in reading material, devotions(yes, I can get caught up in too many devotions rather than simple lectio and contemplation and have to watch out for that),computer time, and compulsive buying like we all are tempted to do as we are 'invited' by sale ads all around us.

I needed this reminder today, MC.
Thanks.
