A wonderful day we had yesterday. It snowed a little after we came out of class, and headed to the Monastery Chapel for Mass. Father Peter had a wonderful Homily. It touched me deeply when he spoke of not being accepted by others. But then that's me and my feelings. The liturgy of the Eucharist is always a special time for me and it always will bring joy and sometimes tears when receiving our Lord.

We had a guest speaker at our meeting who spoke about the Priesthood. The two ways of the priesthood. The common and the ministerial. He said he would be remembered, not so much for what the topic was but for being funny. He was good!

The Nuns did their mini concert and invited guests did the rosary after Vespers. This is an ongoing Celebration for their 800th Anniversary. This was the third in a series throughout the year. Every third Sunday unless specified.

I went and venerated a special statue of Our Lady of Lourdes that they have that was restored. It is a beautiful statue. Then something quite special happened. James, my Brother in Christ put in my hand a large Dominican Cross on a rope necklace. What a beautiful gift he gave me. I asked him to put it on me and he did. We share a common bond, love for God. I met his wife (when we made our acceptance) and she is a treasure.

In my class we have very special people. They all have a deep love and all have had a unique experience that brought them where they are.

At Vespers I sat with Elizabeth, and she was happy I was there. We are on a continuing journey together she said. We learn, we live, and we love for the sake of God. Oh, the sun came out during Mass. It was sunny the rest of the day.

I stopped at the pharmacy after it was all done and came across Bob, one of the others who had to be at work. We hugged and then we talked of Homilies and Vespers, it was good. I have a bad habit about explaining why something has happened and that is where I need to stop doing that. I called to have a refill on my prescription, but what I did get wasn't what I am taking. And in the explanation, it is because of no insurance and not being able to see the Doctor that things have changed. I have insurance now, but they also spelled my name wrong on the card. Some minor delays. Well anyway it was good day. A reflective one.

Thanks you , MC for sharing your life here with us.
At times it is like sitting with a friend and talking about our everyday experiences face to face.
We hurt together and laugh together, rejoice together and ponder together.
Blessings.
