I think the best part of the day is always the part where prayer is. There is something I wrote in a comment that when I reread it, it didn't sound the way it should have. I wrote " I am ashamed for my lack of being part of the Catholic family for so very long." No matter what I have done through the years I have loved God in a constant way. For a long time after I left Parochial School, life changed.
The Nuns weren't there to be a constant reminder of faith. Yet Mass was part of my week growing up. I think once I entered High School, the closeness that was felt being part of a Catholic School was slowly disappearing. I was in a new world, with new people, with a different set of faith. Not all were Catholic and not all were nice. In High School that is where I discovered how people become snobs, and so forth. I didn't want to be part of a group that if your not in your not in. When I went to a High School Reunion a few times, they were the same then too. A clique, very snobbish, didn't exactly show that they grew up.
Because of that I went in another direction, I let love be my guide. I let kindness be part of my life. I didn't exclude anyone, they were all part of my family. Schools do teach information, but mine taught me something else, character. It taught me what I didn't want to be, unloving toward my neighbor.

We are used to being excluded.
Paul,
Family from Quebec, is that close enough!
