I use an alarm clock in case of those moments when wakefullness is not forthcoming. But I tend to wake up before it goes off, like this morning I woke at 3 a.m., then I rolled over and went right back to sleep until the alarm went off. But I did hit what I thought was the snooze button, but obviously wasn't since ten minutes later turned into an hour. I woke up at 4:30, just in time to say hello to our Lord, jump in the shower and try to do a reflection. But time was short and very brief after reading today's reading.

Luckily I remembered this one from last year and used it. I don't like doing that. But since I was given extra sleep this morning, there was nothing I could do.

I found out I will be learning more things at work. And I had a nice call from one of the ladies I went to school with, I was invited to go to her wedding on Sunday. She is getting married by a Justice of the Peace. In April, she said she will have a real wedding. I was surprised to hear from her, since I had been thinking about her lately and just before she called I was talking about a wine she had that was very good. I thought that was pretty good timing.

I paid my visit at the Chapel, did my Rosary and had such a love filled moment of awe and wonder. I had my eyes closed and everytime I would gaze upon the Host I would see Jesus, tears came to my eyes as I was smiling. But the ride home was filled with such joy that he would show me himself each time I am there. I believe so strongly in what he is doing and how things are coming about. I just sit and quietly thank him for all that he continues to do in my life and with those who I come across.

If I was filled with awe before, I am more so now because there is something very special about what he is doing.

How beautiful is your experience of Jesus...I am going to Mass shortly, and every time is an experience of pure joy! :)

I'm so very glad for you autumnrose! That you have a beautiful experience of pure joy at Mass. That alone is truly wonderful.

I am glad that others have this too. It brightens the joy in my heart.

Dear Marie-Cecile,

Often we are awakened at the hour of 3 AM because souls are calling for prayer. It is at this time that we should pray the Mercy Chaplet. Even if we are unable to finish the prayer, our desire to please the Lord is itself a prayer as we return to a restful sleep.

God love you,

How true, this is one chaplet I do not know by heart. I usually do the Lord's prayer and a Hail Mary upon waking, then I fall back to sleep.

God love you!
