More Lessons

Two more Sunday's, then I take my first vows as a Third Order Dominican. I am quite excited to commit my life to serving God and the community. I see this as another step in my journey. Plus this year I have taken on a different grade to teach for CCD. For two years I have taught the sacraments, now I will be venturing with the commandments.

I pray the Holy Spirit will be my guide as I walk this new path. I know life takes us on different avenues at times without our realizing why. Mine did, and I am one grateful person for it. It taught me a valuable life lesson not many have the chance to have, one of starting over from scratch. For some it is the hardest thing to be placed on the floor, and never see the light of day dawning. This is where I have found that faith has become my strength even more so.

There is something that I have found each time I receive Him in communion, is total surrender and unshakable belief that it is his flesh I consume. When partaking and the host turns to flesh, I marvel at the mystery. Because there were so many times the host would just disintegrate once it was wet. Then at times I too would wonder is it possible that this happens to others when they receive. It is something I never asked anyone. Just as I am discovering many also have wonderful experiences of our Lord.

I remember the intensity during the first two and a half years. When I said yes to our Lord, it subsided some, but it is not as it once was. There are moments in the Chapel, or at Mass when My hearts overflows with so much joy. It's was an occasion at Mass Sunday to have tears and such joy it was awesome after communion. I felt as if there was this huge smile spread across my face all the while tears were pouring from my eyes. I'm just thankful for the love in my heart and being able to share it with so many others.
